Once again Red Deer will be part of this Global Festival for Peace that unites people around the world who are working toward a future of hope.
On September 26, 2009 more than half a million people worldwide will gather in 350 locations in 60 countries at exactly the same time for a celebration of peace.
This year, Red Deer will again join with people in communities around the globe
to work toward a future of hope and peace. We are pleased to invite the
community to downtown Red Deer in September to celebrate peace, people, and the
planet.
From September 21 to 25, downtown businesses will offer
displays, promotions, and special events.
Red Deer Public Library will also
feature a series of information sessions. And on September 26, Earthdance
invites you downtown again for special events like story time at the Library, a
festival of song and dance at The Hub, and a Community Peace Drum Circle and
Community Prayer for Peace in City Hall Park. Mark your calendars today! And
